B Strong BFR Training System is a comprehensive Blood Flow Restriction product action platform, complete with protocol APP to drive activity, and accredited Certification/Continuing Education Course. B Strong BFR is positioned to revolutionize fitness training for the client/athlete, the fitness trainer/coach, and ideal to impact the footprint of today’s fitness facility. B Strong BFR can be implemented as a primary way of training, or to supplement activities in training that challenge the status quo and elevate fitness.

What is Blood Flow Restriction (BFR)?

BFR is a fitness enhancing/rehab intervention training method that taps into the body’s natural response systems to stress and recovery. B Strong BFR represents a radical, scientifically backed, paradigm shift in the way we train for fitness and performance, recover from exercise, and rehabilitate from injury. With B Strong, you can train your clients/athletes/teams smarter, improve overall strength and fitness in less time, and optimize training results -- while using relatively light, easy loads, and/or low intensity cardiorespiratory exercise. The benefits of B Strong BFR apply to young or old, deconditioned or avid fitness enthusiasts, rehabilitation or world-class performance training. B Strong BFR Bands can be used for any activity – swimming, biking, rowing, running, strength training, yoga, soccer -- regardless of fitness level or training goal.

How Does BFR Work?

Bands are positioned and inflated on arms and /or legs to safely modify blood flow in the limbs, via user APP instruction. The created compression slows the flow of blood through veins, while still maintaining arterial inflow. The moderation of blood flow in the veins limits the amount of oxygen being delivered to the working muscles, thereby creating “stress” or “disruption of homeostasis,” which triggers numerous metabolic effects such as muscle and strength development, and cardiorespiratory fitness, while using low-load and low intensity exercise.

The fatigue state triggers a natural, robust, hormonal cascade, which in turn produces hypertrophy and strength gains on par with intense exercise or traditional weight lifting. The hormones circulating in the bloodstream benefit all areas of the body that are working, not just the restricted limb(s) or working muscles, creating a total body “Systemic Response.”

The efficiency of BFR creates a paradigm shift in fitness! Weight training with half the weights in half the time can elicit remarkable full body results, and its impact on cardio fitness is equally impressive.

How BFR training compares to regular exercise?

For an individual to achieve muscle fatigue from a traditional training session, he/she would have to lift heavy weights or push oneself for a long period of time to elicit the growth hormonal response needed to make strength gains or overall fitness improvements. When following B Strong BFR, one uses lighter weights, but gets the muscle to fatigue not due to lifting heavy weights, but due to the safely moderated blood flow to the working muscle.

Why Use B Strong BFR At Your Club Or Facility?

By implementing B Strong BFR Training into your own business you can enhance, and distinguish your business, and get faster results.

How is B Strong BFR Training incorporated into all types of workout or rehab programs at clubs, clinics or performance training centers?

B Strong Blood Flow Restriction can be implemented as a primary way of training, or to supplement activities in training that challenge the status quo and elevate fitness. Many people ask if BFR replaces traditional strength training, high intensity interval training (HIIT), or steady state cardiovascular exercise, for example. The answer is “yes,” and “no.” Many 40-plus-year-old folks are transitioning to BFR workouts only for many of the benefits/reasons cited above. On the other hand, in some high-level athlete performance training, often traditional approaches plus BFR training are used.
